Cordoba Jewish quarter. Guided tours

Guía de la Juderia de Córdoba

Heritage Site by UNESCO, the old quarter of Cordoba is one of the largest that have been preserved. Narrow winding streets that lead to small squares where you can hear the sound of water from its fountains and admire the colorful balconies. Part of this old city is the Jewish Quarter, occupied by them from the XIII to XV century. The Synagogue was built in the XIV century, one of very few left in Spain from the time before the expulsion of the Jews.

The Synagogue, the most important building of the Jewish Quarter of Córdoba, built in 1315 by King Alfonso XI to thanks to thank the jewish community for their support to him, that made possible the victory of the Battle of Salado against Muslims. A small building with a courtyard at the entrance hides a story of transformation of the synagogue from hospital to Guild headquarters of shoemakers.

Cordoba is not only the Mosque, it is itself a museum. I offer you a guided tour of the historical jewish sight.

Guided tours are always with local official guides.
